Google Droppng Jaiku?
If this rumor is true, looks like Twitter will emerge the victor in the Micro Blogging sector. And no I am not discounting Tumblr and a few others, but in the real sense of Micro Blogging there were only three sites, Twitter, Jaiku and Pownce.
The reason I said rumor is that I have yet to see an official release from Google stating that Jaiku is dead.
Pownce Shut Down
Not really surprised by the latest news that Pownce will be shutting down after being picked up by Six Apart. Pownce had some very cool features and a great interface and it is obvious that Six Apart realized that and went for the talent pool that Pownce has.

cmgarcia I prefer Gowalla but more of my friends are using Foursquare. Reminds me of preferring Pownce but using Twitter more because of the same.
